How did it all started?
Great Britain 1990, a male strip group emerges under the leadership of Private 69 . A Dutch entertainment agency got wind of it and took the group under their wings at the end of 1991. The phenomenal male strippers were a huge success, together with the Chippendales, The London Knights conquered the Netherlands and the UK. Other groups were formed but The London Knights were the only group with it’s own fan club. The London Knights get a new management and this new manager asks the fan club for a hand, as The London Knights have got a bad reputation to shake. After a while this manager has enough and leaves. The fan club starts their own entertainment agency to look after the interests of the group members and because of the tight work schedule they have quit the fan club. Private 69 however doesn't like changes so everything stays the same.
But it is the Public Relations manager who gets through to him and on account of her, Private invited the first black stripper Paul Grant. One year later followed by Diablo the Latin stripper. But that was it. No changes in the shows or clothes. The number of shows is dropping and two other ladies from the management resign from their job. Now Private 69 sees how bad things have become and leaves the group. Paul Grant takes over the leadership and listens to the ideas from the PR manager Marlon and even though he has his doubts, he listens to her and promised her a new show, replacement of strippers, new music and costumes. From the PR manager was expected, that she would increase the number of shows. After this talk the numbers of shows went up and The London Knights have a new show every 6 months.
King Shaft the second black stripper joins the group and now The London Knights tour twice a year throughout the Netherlands and the rest of Europe. The rest well... you just have to find out for yourselves by visiting one of their amazing shows!!
And after a while when business went well, the name The London Knights is registered by Marlon at the Nederlandsch Octrooibureau, to protect the name for the guys and herself.
Hopefully we will see you all soon!
